Reporting a bug
In the application, choose Help → Send bug report…. Describe the issue and review the included runtime information before pressing Send report. Add an e-mail address if you would like us to reply; it is optional in both this dialog and the crash dialog. You can also save or copy the report and e-mail it to us.
A report that contains these points can usually be reproduced and fixed without a round trip:
- Cadri Commander version. Shown in the application's About box; the download page and Changes list every published version.
- Windows version. For example Windows 11 24H2, or Windows 10 22H2.
- Where the files were. A local drive, a network share, an archive, or a remote server, and which protocol (SFTP, WebDAV, S3, and so on).
- What you did, step by step. The view you were in, the keys or menu you used, and the filter box text if any.
- What you expected, and what happened instead. An error message word for word, or a screenshot of the wrong result, helps.
- Diagnostics, if you can. Cadri Commander's Diagnostics window lists recent failures with their messages; its text or a screenshot of it helps. Read it before sending: it names folders and files, and you may want to remove lines that identify documents.
Never send document contents, passwords, access keys or connection files. A file name pattern or a made-up example with the same shape is enough.
