Files, drives, links & search improved

New files

• Create a file, press Shift+F4 to name a new file in the current folder, with local and archive files opening in the built-in editor.
• Undo an empty file, Ctrl+Z recycles a newly created local file only while it is still empty.

Drives

• Drive menu, right-click a drive for Eject, Disconnect, Rename volume, Properties and the Windows context menu.
• Network drive dialogs, map and disconnect network drives through Windows' dialogs.
• Release for removal, when Windows asks to remove a drive, Cadri Commander closes its previews and moves affected panes away.

Links

• Create local links, press Ctrl+Shift+F5 to create symbolic links, hard links or junctions to the selection.
• See local links, the listing marks links, Quick view shows their targets and has:link filters them.
• Go to target, press Ctrl+K, G to open the folder a link or shortcut points to, selecting the target when it is a file.

Remote connections

• Encrypted FTP defaults, new FTP connections start with encrypted FTPS selected.
• Resume S3 uploads, interrupted S3 uploads can resume using the parts already uploaded.
• Recoverable transfer copies, failed transfers keep complete staging copies visible when the destination cannot be confirmed.

Archives

• Test selected archives, check selected archives for damaged contents and see the results in an integrity window.

Working sets

• Keep scan results, open content-scan and folder-comparison results as a working set that you can filter and browse in a pane.

Search

• Broader word matching, document search also finds related word forms and compound words.
• Similar document contents, enable similar-content comparisons in Duplicates to find documents worth reviewing together.
• Optional tag suggestions, use Add tag suggestions in Settings to suggest tags from your existing vocabulary without applying them automatically.

Keyboard

• Command availability explained, the Command palette shows why a command is unavailable in the current pane.

Updates

• Trusted update downloads, Cadri Commander checks that an update is signed by DuNovo AB before installing it.
