Safer copy and move, steadier transfers

Copy and move

• Hidden files included, copying or moving a folder through the transfer queue now brings its hidden and system files, such as .git, leaves a drive's recycle bin behind, and reports any folder it cannot read instead of copying it empty.
• No half-written files, a copy through the transfer queue appears under its name only once it is complete, so an interruption never leaves a partial file in its place.
• Retry & overwrite, a retry now replaces only the file the failed attempt left behind and names it before you choose, and asks again when there is nothing to replace.
• Keep both, files whose names differ only in capital letters, or that would take the same numbered name, now land side by side instead of replacing each other.
• Read-only files, read-only files copy, move and overwrite through the transfer queue.
• Long paths, the transfer queue copies local files whose paths are longer than 260 characters.
• Colons in names, files with a colon in their name copy between remote servers.
• OneDrive folders, downloads and extractions into OneDrive folders that are not yet on this PC now work.
• Copies into the same folder, copies into their own folder and copies from Compare folders appear in Transfers and follow Pause all.

Transfer queue

• Start now, starting a waiting transfer early never runs it ahead of an earlier transfer on the same files.
• Two connections, one server, transfers through two saved connections to the same server or storage account no longer work on the same files at once.
• Less waiting, copies to the root of a drive and archive extraction no longer hold up unrelated transfers on the same drive.
• Cancel stays cancelled, a transfer you cancel no longer comes back the next time Cadri Commander starts.
• Clearer exit question, closing with transfers running says they come back paused next time, and paused transfers no longer ask.
• Long pauses, a transfer paused for more than two minutes lets go of its files and connections, then continues when you resume it.
• Stalled transfers, a transfer whose server or disk stops responding for five minutes now stops with a clear message and can be retried.
• Slow uploads, slow but steady uploads to S3, Azure, OneDrive, Google Drive and Dropbox no longer time out.
• Automatic connections, automatic transfer tuning keeps to a server's connection limit instead of repeatedly dropping and climbing, and Max connections applies to each saved connection.
• Mapped drives, an unavailable mapped network drive no longer holds up other transfers, and the copy dialog stops checking it after three seconds.
• Free space, free space is checked on the drive that holds the destination folder, including mounted folders.

Transfers window

• Speed and time left, speed, time left and Overall stay visible as files hand over to each other, in the text and in the graph.
• Honest speed graph, deletes and moves on the same server no longer show impossible speeds.
• Calmer updates, the window stays smooth with many small files, and the graph keeps its tooltip while you hover.
• Screen readers, progress bars are read with their percentage.

Folders

• Large moves, panes and folder sizes stay responsive while tens of thousands of files are moved.
• Moves between drives, other folders keep updating during a long move between drives.

Viewers and PDF

• Image viewer spacing, image viewers leave a margin around the picture and keep a minimum width.
• Sharper printing, PDF pages print at the printer's resolution.
• Long documents, redaction now works in documents longer than 500 pages.
• Damaged PDFs, opening a damaged PDF no longer repeats its repair scan.
• Thumbnail strip, screen readers follow the PDF thumbnail strip as it scrolls.
